Our Athletics & Extracurriculars

Athletics is an exclusive collection of sporting events that involve competitive running, jumping, throwing, and walking. The most common types of athletics competitions are track and field, road running, cross country running, and race walking. The simplicity of the competitions, and the lack of a need for expensive equipment, makes athletics one of the most commonly competed sports in the world. Athletics is mostly an individual sport, with the exception of relay races and competitions which combine athletes' performances for a team score, such as cross country.

*Required HISD paperwork and proof of insurance are required. Paperwork can be completed through registermyathlete.com

*Students must maintain a "C" average (70, 2.0) and are expected to behave according to the requirements of any NFHS or NCAA student athlete. "E" conduct marks are expected; SRC may result in dismissal from your team.

Please submit athletic paperwork as soon as possible. All HISD mandated, coach mandated forms and HISD or proof of insurance required before any student participates in athletics. 

All athletes are required to submit a current physical from a medical doctor on approved form. (Found below)

If you have participated at the varsity level at another school prior to your entrance to Milby ,UIL bylaws require a Previous Athletic Participation Form (LINK) and clearance from your former athletic department. (must be completed with coach)

All students must have proof of insurance (seguros) OR purchase HISD insurance for $35 in order to participate.
