Milby Marching Thunder Band

The Milby Marching Thunder Band (MMTB) is a powerhouse of school spirit and musical excellence, proudly known as the "Pride of the East Side" in Houston.
Comprised of talented students from grades 9-12, the MMTB has a rich tradition of dazzling audiences at Milby football games and major community events, including the H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade and Galveston's Mardi Gras. Under the leadership of Director Gregory Gatewood, the band has earned UIL Excellent and Superior ratings and multiple competition awards. The MMTB features two standout sub-groups: the award-winning Sounds of Thunder Drumline and the Divas Auxiliary Color Guard, which holds regional and national titles. The Marching Thunder is a celebrated pillar of the Milby and East End community.
